Need to find out how to send your logo to your promotional product supplier? No worries, I’m here to help. First, you’ll need to make sure your logo is in vector format. In short, this means that it should be an outlined graphic that can be scaled to size. Most file formats for a vector formatted logo are either an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or (.eps), and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf). These are all acceptable formats to send your logo to your promotional product supplier. Unaccepted file formats would be (.jpg, .png, .psd, and .tiff).

If the logo was not originally created in Adobe Illustrator then it is not acceptable. Your logo needs to be created in Adobe Illustrator in order to size it to fit the promotional product you plan on ordering. Some promotional product companies have a Graphics Department that will convert your logo to an outlined graphic. But of course, you’re looking at a fee to include this step in your ordering process. Remember to include any font files to the Graphics Department as they may not have your font installed on their computer.

1. Email Your Logo

If you choose to electronically email your logo to your promotional product supplier then preferably include it in a zip file. You can get a free zip tool called 7-Zip to download to your desktop computer. All you have to do is right-click your logo, select 7-Zip, and then add it to a zip file. You can even select compress to zip file and email and save a step if you wish. Then email it to your promotional product supplier along with your order number (if you have one) and order details.

2. Dropbox Your Logo

If you haven’t already set up Dropbox on your desktop computer, well then it’s definitely something to look into. And will save storage space on the email server if you decide to use this option. What is Dropbox? Dropbox is a file hosting service that offers cloud storage, file synchronization, personal cloud, and client software. It is a great software to use when sharing your logo with your promotional product supplier.

All you got to do is save your logo to your Dropbox public folder. Then generate a link to that file in your public folder. You can then send this link to anyone including your promotional product supplier to view that file. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. And you can use Dropbox for free for up to 2GB of space.
